When Buying A New Construction Home You Should Have A Buyer Agent
Buying a New Home? You need a Buyers Agent! New Construction is exciting and a great alternative to resale homes, especially when listing inventory is low. New home communities often have a sales representative at the model home to welcome you and provide information about the product and community. If you choose to buy, that representative will write your offer using the builder's contract. You must understand the builder's sales representatives job is to get the highest price and best terms for the BUILDER. That is why it is important to bring YOUR representative, a Buyer Agent, with you. Your Buyer Agent will help guide you, negotiate the best terms when possible, and monitor the overall process. Although negotiating price depends on demand, often a Buyer Agent can negotiate other favorable terms to benefit you. Almost all Builders pay a Buyer Agent fee and it is already factored into the listing price, costing you nothing extra to have representation.
